As we get closer and closer to the end of this school year, I want to be certain families are aware of the events that take place in May and June.  Some of these events are  traditional, like our Walk-A-Thon (May 25th),  PFA Movie Night (June 2nd), Fun Day (June 5th),5th Grade Moving On Ceremony (June 13th) and KDG. End of the Year Celebration (June 14th).  One of our annual events is extra special this year - our Instrumental Band and Art Show (May 22nd) as it is Mr. D'Angelo's first Village show, and Mrs. Montibello's last Village show.  Luckily, Village students will still have Mrs. Montibello for art, they will just have to wait until they enter middle school!
On May 23rd from 7:00pm - 9:00pm at High School South, the District is holding an informative presentation  addressing opioid abuse.
Something new to experience this year is the District's Innovation Fair at HSS from 4:30pm-6:00pm.  Many of these events could not happen without our dedicated PFA volunteers.  Invitations will be going out shortly for our Thank You Volunteers Luncheon on May 30th from 11:30pm - 12:30pm.    The best way to keep current with school events is add our school's Google calendar below to your personal devise by clicking the + sign.  This way you'll never miss a school happening!
With the warmer weather comes the ability to get outside more.  I encourage you to take advantage of this as family. There are so many opportunities in our community to enjoy our area that are low-cost or free of charge.  Now is  a great time to explore, or re-explore, Monmouth County.  Please check out the links under Community Events and in our virtual backpack.
